Hi all,

Self-improvement. This is the theme of the week. I've decided to give myself a theme each week to ponder upon and reflect on my life as a guiding light to evaluate myself.

The bottom line is that we are all gonna die. I am going to die, and you are going to die. This is one inevitable fate that we know with 100% certainty. The question is 'How are you going to spend your time on Earth?' - What is your purpose and mission? There must be a reason you are put on Earth - the Universe is an impeccable supercomputer that doesn't make any errors.

This week's inspiration came from Dan Koe, Daily Stoic and UTMB.

Marcus could have taken the time to remind himself of what his job was–that no matter what anyone else said or did, his task was to be good. Maybe give himself a wink, preparing himself for the annoying and obnoxious people he was likely to meet that day, smiling, knowing that he didn’t have to implicate himself in their ugliness. Maybe he noted that he was lucky to be alive and felt a second of gratitude before heading out into the world. - Daily Stoic

  • Mental grit... ultra-endurance...and getting fit: If these are your type of buzzwords, check out my other post and learn about another inspirational world #UTMB. Did you know in ultra-endurance races, gender discrepancy disappears as the distance gets longer? This is a hopeful message for women who feel inferior to men's physical bodies for muscle power and strength! I also cover a beginner's guide to building a running habit (from couch to 5k).
  • Neurodiversity: Do you want to increase your 'flow state' and 'focus'? Are you sensitive to the surroundings and easily get distracted? Here are great tips on how to improve your focus with an ADHD-like brain - learn how to regulate your emotions, body, and brain. Being more conscious about what you put into your body every day is key.
  • Yoga: Yoga is a whole separate avenue and subject that I would like to master, but I started going to yoga classes more regularly these days and I wanted to share the sensation that I had after this week's 'flow' yoga class which focuses more on 'alignment.' I have had an on-and-off relationship with yoga over the past 15 years from Jivamukti yoga to hot yoga and I never felt this aligned and clear after the class, so I wanted to introduce my new discovery - Anusara School of yoga. Perhaps it was the music or the ambiance of the class, but still, worth a look.
